High consequence infectious diseases such as ebola are frequently in the headlines. At the time of this post, an Ebola outbreak is devastating parts of Africa, and we are also hearing about folks on an exclusive cruise ship exposed and in some cases infected with Hanta Virus. There are unsettling images of the American cruise ship passengers being moved into specialized hospital isolation units for three weeks to determine if they are infected. HazardID’s half-day seminar on High Consequence Infectious Disease (HCID) and the Special Pathogens Response Network (SPRN) provides insight into the nationwide network of hospitals equipped to handle these patients and how they interface with other hospitals. The seminar also provides information on high consequence infectious diseases and specifics on hospital management of these patients.
